Terms
Last updated September 13, 2026
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Lunar Studios covering the website, account, workspace, overlays, engagement hubs, Studio, Creator billing, desktop app, and related creator tools. By accessing or using Lunar Studios, creating an account, connecting a platform, placing an overlay URL in OBS, subscribing to Creator, or installing the desktop app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Please read these Terms carefully. They govern your access to and use of Lunar Studios. Supplemental terms may apply to specific features (for example pricing pages, checkout flows, or feature beta notices). If supplemental terms conflict with these Terms for a specific feature, the supplemental terms control for that feature only.
Your use of Lunar Studios is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle account and product data. Plan comparisons may appear on Pricing and in your workspace billing area.
If you use Lunar Studios on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" includes that organization.
Lunar Studios provides creator software for TikTok LIVE and related workflows. Depending on your plan and what you enable, the service may include:
Features can change. We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features, plan entitlements, quotas, or integrations at any time. Some capabilities may be announced, waitlisted, limited, or offered as beta before general availability. Beta or experimental features may be less reliable and may change or end without notice.
Lunar Studios is a toolkit for creators. It is not a substitute for TikTok, Discord, Twitch, Spotify, OBS, Stripe, or any other third-party platform, and it does not guarantee stream success, audience growth, or platform compliance on your behalf.
You may use Lunar Studios only if:
If you are using the service for a business, you also represent that the business is duly organized and that your use complies with applicable commercial and consumer laws.
4.1 Account required. Dashboard, workspace, billing, and most product features require a Lunar account. Accounts are created with email and password through our authentication provider. Keep your credentials confidential.
4.2 One account, your responsibility. Use your own account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your signed-in session, including actions taken by anyone you allow to access your stream PC, OBS machine, or browser profile. Do not share passwords, MFA codes, or session cookies. Sign out on shared devices.
4.3 Accurate information. Provide accurate account information and keep it updated, including a working email address for security and billing notices.
4.4 Password and MFA. You can change your password and optionally enable authenticator-app multi-factor authentication (MFA / TOTP) from Account Security. If MFA is enabled on your account:
You are responsible for safeguarding your authenticator device and any backup codes your authenticator app provides. Do not share MFA codes. Enabling MFA does not make the service immune to compromise, but it is strongly recommended.
4.5 Compromised accounts. If you believe your account or overlay URLs have been compromised, change your password, confirm MFA is enabled where possible, revoke connected-platform access where available, rotate overlay URLs if the product allows, and contact us promptly.
4.6 Account limits. We may limit the number of accounts per person or organization, refuse registration, or reclaim usernames or handles used in bad faith.
Optional connections (Discord, TikTok, Twitch, Spotify, and similar) and optional integrations (webhooks, Streamer.bot, IFTTT, Stream Deck, desktop agent helpers, and similar) are under your control. By connecting a platform or configuring an integration, you:
We are not responsible for outages, API changes, revoked tokens, rate limits, policy enforcement, bans, or feature removals by third-party platforms. If a platform disconnects or restricts access, related Lunar features may stop working until you reconnect or the platform restores access.
Spotify song-request playback features may require Spotify Premium and a reachable playback device. Availability can be limited or waitlisted.
You may use Lunar Studios only for lawful creator tooling purposes consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:
We may investigate suspected abuse and remove content, disable features, or suspend accounts as described in Section 18.
Overlay and widget URLs are powerful. Treat them like credentials for your stream layout. Anyone with a private overlay URL may be able to load that widget. Do not post private overlay URLs in public chats, screenshots, or social posts unless you intend that surface to be public.
You are responsible for how overlay content appears on your stream, including volume, timing, text, images, and any viewer-identifying information your widgets display. Keep OBS and browser-source machines secured.
If an overlay URL is exposed, rotate or regenerate it where the product allows and update OBS promptly.
Features that react to gifts, chat, follows, likes, and similar LIVE signals operate on data supplied by platforms and by viewers who interact with your stream. You are responsible for:
Lunar Studios does not guarantee complete, real-time, or perfectly ordered LIVE event delivery. Connector delays, dropped events, duplicate events, platform outages, and parsing limits can occur. Design your stream so a missed alert or delayed event does not create unsafe or unfair outcomes you cannot handle manually.
9.1 Your ownership. You retain rights to media, text, sounds, images, project files, configurations, and other content you upload, create, or generate in Lunar Studios ("Your Content"), subject to third-party rights in any assets you did not create.
9.2 License you grant us. You grant Lunar Studios a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, and improve the features you use (including backups, overlays, exports you request, and outbound webhooks you configure).
9.3 Your responsibilities. Only upload or process content you have the right to use. Do not upload content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, or privacy rights. You are responsible for music rights for song requests and for any sound, image, or video assets you add to alerts or Studio.
9.4 Feedback. If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation.
Studio projects and imported media may live primarily in browser or desktop WebView storage (including IndexedDB and OPFS). Local data can be lost if you clear site data, switch browsers or devices, reinstall the OS, or encounter storage corruption. Keep exports of anything important.
Optional cloud backup features, when you use them, upload project or image documents associated with your account. Backups are provided for convenience and are not a substitute for your own archival exports. We do not guarantee infinite retention, perfect restore fidelity across product versions, or availability of every historical backup format forever.
Client-side encoding, playback, effects, and exports depend on your device, browser, GPU, and media codecs. Results can vary by hardware.
The Lunar Desktop app loads Lunar Studios product surfaces and may include local helpers for OBS connectivity, device detection, updates, or recording upload. By installing the desktop app, you agree that:
12.1 Plans. Lunar Studios may offer a Free plan and a paid Creator plan (and may introduce other plans later). Feature access, quotas, history windows, and overlay catalogs can differ by plan. Current descriptions on Pricing and in the product UI control what is included at a given time, and we may update entitlements.
12.2 Creator subscription. Creator billing is processed by Stripe. By starting checkout, you authorize Stripe and Lunar Studios to charge the payment method you provide for the subscription price then shown (for example a monthly Creator price) plus applicable taxes. Subscription renewals continue until you cancel according to Section 12.4.
12.3 Taxes and currency. Prices may be shown in a stated currency. You are responsible for any taxes Stripe or law requires us to collect. Currency conversion fees charged by your bank or card network are your responsibility.
12.4 Cancellation and renewal. You may cancel renewal from the billing area in your workspace where available (cancel at period end). Access generally continues through the end of the paid period already purchased, then reverts to Free entitlements unless you resume. Charge timing depends on Stripe subscription cycles. Invoice history may be available in the workspace and on Stripe-hosted invoice pages.
12.5 Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry through Stripe, notify you, restrict Creator features, or downgrade access until payment succeeds.
12.6 Refunds. Except where required by law or expressly stated in a written offer, subscription fees are non-refundable, including for partial periods, unused features, or dissatisfaction after a billing period has started. If you believe a charge is erroneous, contact us promptly with your account email and invoice details.
12.7 Changes to pricing. We may change prices or plan packaging. For existing subscribers, material price changes will apply on a forward basis according to notice we provide and Stripe renewal rules. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price unless you cancel before renewal.
12.8 No circumvention. You may not circumvent Creator paywalls, share a paid account to provide Creator features to others as a substitute for their own subscription, or abuse free-tier limits.
Lunar Studios integrates with or links to services you choose, including Discord, TikTok, Twitch, Spotify, Stripe, Cloudflare, Supabase, OBS browser sources, webhook destinations, and other tools. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, security, availability, pricing, or policy changes.
Outbound webhooks and automations send data to destinations you configure. You are responsible for those destinations and for any consequences of messages you choose to send.
Lunar Studios, including its software, branding, UI, documentation, and non-user content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership interest in the service.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Lunar Studios for your own lawful creator activities. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from our software except as allowed by law or our written permission.
All trademarks, logos, and trade dress appearing in the product are ours or our licensors'. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.
If you believe content available through Lunar Studios infringes your copyright, contact us with a notice that includes:
We may remove or disable access to alleged infringing material and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUNAR STUDIOS AND ITS OPERATORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Without limiting the above, we do not promise that:
Browser Web Speech TTS, local device APIs, GPU effects, and client-side encoders depend on your hardware and browser. Results vary.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimer limitations. In those places, disclaimers apply to the maximum extent allowed.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUNAR STUDIOS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, STREAM OPPORTUNITY, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO LUNAR STUDIOS FOR CREATOR ACCESS IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (US $50) IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US IN THAT PERIOD.
These limitations apply to claims based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory. They are an essential basis of the bargain and apply even if any limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example certain liability for fraud or for personal injury in jurisdictions that forbid such limits).
You may stop using Lunar Studios at any time and may cancel Creator renewal as described in Section 12. You may request account deletion subject to our Privacy Policy and any records we must keep.
We may suspend or terminate access, disable features, revoke overlay URLs, or refuse service immediately if we reasonably believe you:
We may also suspend or discontinue the service or any part of it for maintenance, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or business reasons. Where practical, we will try to provide notice for planned shutdowns of paid features, but we are not obligated to provide advance notice for emergency suspensions.
On termination, your license to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, licenses you granted for residual processing, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, dispute terms, and this survival clause) will survive.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lunar Studios and its operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
You may not use Lunar Studios if you are located in a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions that prohibit such use, or if you are on a prohibited-party list, where applicable law forbids providing the service to you. You agree to comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise. If a specific governing state is required for enforceability and has not been stated elsewhere in a written agreement with you, the laws of the US state where Lunar Studios principally operates will apply.
Courts in the United States will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property or security, and except where applicable law gives you the right to bring consumer claims in your home courts.
Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us with a brief description of the issue and your account email. If we cannot resolve it within thirty (30) days, either party may proceed with a formal claim.
TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, YOU AND LUNAR STUDIOS WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION FOR DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE. IF THIS WAIVER IS FOUND UNENFORCEABLE FOR A PARTICULAR CLAIM, THAT CLAIM MUST PROCEED IN COURT AND NOT IN A CLASS PROCEEDING TO THE EXTENT THE WAIVER IS UNENFORCEABLE.
We may update these Terms as the product grows. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the product or by email when appropriate.
Continued use of Lunar Studios after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the new version, except where applicable law requires a different standard (such as affirmative consent for certain changes). If you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel any paid subscription before the new terms apply to you.
Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any feature-specific notices we present form the entire agreement between you and Lunar Studios regarding the service and supersede prior understandings on that subject.
Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at third-party platforms, hosting providers, payment processors, or internet networks.
Notices. We may provide notices by email to your account address, by posting in the product, or by updating this page. You may contact us as described below.
Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is for convenience only; the English version controls if there is a conflict.
